7th DACH Soccer Tournament
Dear friends of the D-A-CH Tournament.

Although the UEFA European Championship – the biggest international event in Austria and Switzerland for years to come – is still 4 months away, on February 16th soccer will already be moving to the centre of interest. On this day the D-A-CH-Soccer-Tournament takes place.


This tournament has quickly gained a positive reputation among the participants, an impressive lineup of teams from Germany, Austria and Switzerland. It has meanwhile become a permanent part of the Annual Meeting of the German societies – as well as of the Joint Meeting of the German-Austrian-Swiss societies for Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery. 

The soccer tournament will be held at the Sport Halle Hötting West in Innsbruck and the soccer-awards will be presented together with the awards for the winners of the ski race during a reception after the events.

This sportive event promotes healthy competition and physical exercise while providing a positive atmosphere for all who participate. I hope that the tournament will produce exhilarating matches and great goals.

Start of the tournament at 10:00 a.m.

The winners party (award ceremony) will take place at the “Theresienbräu Innsbruck” (Maria-Theresien-Str. 51-53) at approx. 06:00 p.m. together with the participants of the ski race. We will be pleased to welcome you there!

All teams will receive detailed information concerning the schedule on-site as well as how to reach the venue by the end of January via e-mail.

To allow for the fundamental idea of the D-A-CH soccer tournament and to fortify the Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery alliance, we would ask the participating teams to appoint only players who are also professionals in that special field.

Please note that the players have to arrange assurance for potential accidents or damages on their own. The organizer disclaimes responsibility of any kind in case of accidents or destruction of property before, during and after the event. The participants are required to assure against possible risks.
